Introduction - Enhancements to 7 Bus Interchanges
To enhance the commuting experience and create a more family-friendly and inclusive public transport system, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be upgrading 7 bus interchanges (Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Boon Lay, Clementi, Sengkang, Serangoon and Toa Payoh) from August 2024.

The enhancements will include:

More inclusive facilities such as priority queue zones, additional seating, family washrooms, wheelchair-accessible toilets, commuter care rooms, tactile paths and Braille signs on handrails.

Upgraded systems such as air-conditioning and lighting.

Refurbished staff facilities including passenger service offices and staff lounges.

Works will be carried out in phases with no disruption to bus operations. Boarding/alighting berths will be upgraded one/few at a time to minimise inconvenience, Wayfinding signs will be provided to guide commuters, noise and dust will be minimised during while carry out works. Commuters are encouraged to approach service staff at the BIs for assistance if needed.
All works are expected to be completed by 2027.
